‘Greed is Good’
This is the best business movie ever produced featuring the legendary Michael Douglas who acts the fictional character Gordon Geecko character so well that forms a benchmark for businessmen who take no prisoners in going about their business. In fact Gordon Geecko is quoted in so many movies whenever there is a wall street character trying to evade the FEDs.
The movie tells of an ambitious young man Bud Fox with a dream to succeed just like every young person and uses everything at his disposal to reach Gordon (GiGi) the man who runs the town. With a little bit of inside information Gordon he gets onto GiGi’s list of henchmen and begins by bursting into the Gordon’s business’ rivals Sir Larry who is trying to purchase Anacott Steel which Gordon uses the Greenmail tactic to make a killing off Larry, plus a couple of others in the famous ‘Blue Horse Shoe loves Anacott Steel’. But just like many corporate executives, greed takes the best of Gordon who upon foxing Fox, he is handed over to both his rival Larry and the Feds in a deal to meant to save Fox. Look out for the scene where Gordon warns Fox that if he doesn’t get him out of the predicament, he will make sure that the only job Fox will have on the street is sweeping it.
