This movie show cases an acquisition of one firm by another and head of sales for the acquired firm Dan Foreman being put in a position to report to a less experienced new boss Carter Duryea appointed by the acquiring firm who unbeknownst to him is dating his daughter who Dennis is struggling to push through College.
Carter does his job with a lot of enthusiasm and desires to change the work culture of all those reporting to him by demanding extra hours during weekends something which is unorthodox to most of them
The reality is revealed one time when Dan discovers that Carter has been dating his daughter to which he responds by getting physical on Carter something which not only strains the newly developed romantic relationship but also the boss subordinate relationship at work.
Meanwhile at the office Dan complicates matters by confronting Carter’s boss who gives carter an ultimatum to fire Dan something that puts Carter in a stalemate position given his romantic attraction to Dan’s daughter. Using some business transaction on a certain key account Carter is able to save Dan from losing his job and in a turn of events Dan regains his position something that sets up an interesting ending to the movie.

The key lesson in this movies is one which is very difficult to do which is creating a boundary between personal life and work
